Our terms and conditions
Terms and Conditions for The Removalists are as follows:
1. Service Agreement: By engaging The Removalists, the client agrees to the terms and conditions set forth herein, which govern the contractual relationship for the moving services provided.
2. Quotation: The quotation provided by The Removalists is based on the inventory, access, distance, and additional services as discussed. Any changes to these factors may result in additional charges.
3. Client Responsibilities: The client is responsible for ensuring that all items to be moved are securely packed, unless packing services have been arranged with The Removalists. The client must also ensure that The Removalists has access to the pick-up and delivery locations at the agreed-upon times.
4. Billing: Our minimum billing period is 2 hours for any service provided. Job time is calculated in hourly increments, and a callout fee may be charged where either location is more than 25km from Brisbane CBD. A $50 fuel and insurance surcharge will be applied to the final bill of all jobs.
5. Insurance: The Removalists has Transit insurance, Australia wide to cover defined loss and damage to customers property during the move and for which we accept responsibility.
6. Payment: Payment terms will be outlined in the quotation. Full payment is required upon completion of the move unless otherwise arranged.
7. Cancellation Policy: If the client needs to cancel or reschedule the service, they must notify The Removalists at least 48 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.
8. Liability Limitations: The Removalists is not liable for damage to goods not packed by our staff or for items that have pre-existing damage. Liability for damage caused by unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, is also limited. Whilst the utmost care will be taken, and moving blankets provided; TV screens, fridge doors, glass, mirror, marble, musical instruments etc. are not designed to be transported without their original packaging and will therefore not be covered by our guarantee.
9. Examine your consignment on delivery and note any items which may be subject to a claim. Claims must be notified immediately to the Driver before he leaves the delivery point. The Client or Client Representative must be present at all times during the move.
10. Prohibited Items: Hazardous materials, illegal substances, perishable foods, and pets are not permitted to be moved by The Removalists. Any heavy lifts (generally 100kg+) will incur a 1-hour additional charge and are not covered by insurance.
11. Delays: The Removalists is not responsible for delays caused by factors outside of our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, road closures, or delays from third parties.
12. Complaints: Any complaints must be submitted in writing to The Removalists within 24 hours of the move's completion.
13. No refund policy: By using our service you agree that there is a strict no refund policy once the service has been completed and payment has been taken. Any disputes will be resolved by our support team, in line with our terms and conditions, and are handled separately from the original bill.
